Las Vegas, USA, January 6th 2026 — Audio Foundry today announced a next-generation scalable automotive audio system concept in Las Vegas, showcased with a 3rd generation Karma Revero sport sedan at the Audio Foundry booth at CES 2026. The project marks a major collaborative milestone, bringing together engineering contributions from Audio Foundry members BdSound, Bluacs, Dirac, and Tymphany, with Karma Automotive newly joining the ecosystem to provide the development platform.
Co-developed at Audio Foundry’s new California Satellite location, the modular system demonstrates a new approach to in-cabin audio architecture, uniting advanced digital signal processing, intelligent voice interaction, premium and modular hardware packaged in non-traditional locations and tuned with adaptive sound technologies.
“The Karma Revero gave the members a real-world, ultra-luxury vehicle platform to push boundaries, explore new layouts, and showcase a concept that is both innovative and viable,” said Keefe Leung, Director, Software Defined Systems Architecture, Karma Automotive.
Central to the system is its unique & scalable architecture paired with Dirac’s upmixer technology to deliver two listening modes:
• Stage Mode: a minimal content, 4-channel, 5 speaker system, that provides a clear, balanced and forward oriented listening experience.
• Arena Mode: scaled up to a 11-channel, 14 speaker system, that can match a premium soundstage providing an immersive listening experience.
The foundation of the audio system consists of high-performance Peerless full-range drivers and a conceptual small footprint woofer module developed using Bluacs’ FreshAir™ technology. This is then scaled up by adding a pair of headrest modules on the front seats, a conceptual compact FreshAir™ subwoofer module and Tymphany’s market leading Removable Audio System (RAS) technology in the rear.
Tymphany’s expertise in system architecture and rapid prototyping saw the integration of all the above key elements by cleverly packaging the components in a mix of traditional and non-traditional locations of the vehicle, further complemented by Dirac’s AudioIQ’s intelligent impulse response correction and mixed-phase tuning, which ensures all speakers – regardless of location – operate as a unified, reference-grade system. Dirac Dimensions Infinity then expands standard stereo content into enveloping, multidimensional soundscapes without altering the integrity of the original recording.
The final layer to the concept is BdSound’s Simply Sounds Clear technology, which elevates the entire voice user experience— from crystal-clear hands-free calls in noisy environments to enhanced voice assistant interactions, even when multiple passengers issue voice commands simultaneously. This is enabled by BdSound’s Microphone Bubbles solution, delivering seat-level voice capture with just one microphone per seat.
“At Audio Foundry, this project shows what’s possible when experts across the industry collaborate without traditional barriers,” said Greg Turnidge, Managing Director of Bluacs “Each technology plays a specific role in shaping the final acoustic experience.”
Following CES, Audio Foundry will continue energizing new projects where members will collaboratively experiment with new architectures, technologies and features.
“Working within Audio Foundry’s collaborative environment allowed us to rapidly integrate innovative voice technology into a unified audio experience across multiple partners” said Fabio Cagnetti, COO & Co-Founder of BdSound.
Audio Foundry invites CES attendees, media, and industry leaders to experience the system firsthand at CES 2026 and learn how collaborative innovation is redefining the future of automotive audio.
