Hear360 Joins the Audio Foundry Automotive Collaborative with Studio-Grade Spatial Audio Engineering
The GRAMMY Award-winning engineers behind the sound of HP/HyperX gaming peripherals and Panasonic Avionics inflight systems bring personalized spatial rendering and a mixing engineer’s “golden ears” to the vehicle cabin.

BRIDGEND, Wales, and SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — September 21, 2026 — Audio Foundry (AF), the automotive audio technology collaborative, today announced Hear360 as its newest member. Hear360 is an audio technology solutions company founded by GRAMMY Award-winning engineers, licensing studio-grade processing to product makers. Hear360 joins the Audio Foundry community of experts, inventors, designers and engineers to bring its approach to personalized spatial audio rendering to the vehicle cabin.
As vehicles add headrest speakers and higher channel counts, the car cabin is evolving into a set of individual listening positions rather than a single acoustic space. Delivering sound that is both accurate and personal at every position is the problem Hear360 has worked on for more than a decade and is now bringing to automotive. Hear360’s spatial audio engine renders stereo, 5.1, 7.1 and object-based sources without requiring a specific delivery format or codec, while personalizing the rendering to the individual listener.
Alongside its studio-grade processing, Hear360 brings professional engineering standards to vehicle tuning. Hear360 founders Matt Marrin and Greg Morgenstein built their careers mixing and recording records for Janet Jackson, Usher, Beyoncé and Bruno Mars, making tuning decisions that have earned recognition at the highest levels of the recording industry. In a vehicle cabin, that experience must be applied to each model and speaker layout, where every configuration presents a different acoustic challenge that measurement alone cannot solve.
For HP/HyperX, Hear360 is the audio technology provider for its latest NGENUITY gaming peripheral software, launched in April 2026, supporting both headset output and microphone input. Panasonic Avionics has integrated Hear360 spatial audio into its suite of inflight entertainment systems, bringing an immersive listening experience to individual passengers over headphones.
Audio Foundry brings together companies working across automotive audio and in-cabin technology, providing a platform for co-development, knowledge sharing and industry engagement. Hear360’s addition expands the collaborative’s expertise in spatial audio, processing and professional tuning, further strengthening the range of technologies available to address the evolving requirements of the vehicle cabin.
“Delivering immersive, clear, orchestrated audio in cars is becoming more and more complex,” said Matt Marrin, Co-Founder of Hear360. “Voice calls, streaming media and critical alerts combine in a space designed for comfort and safety over acoustics. Software-defined vehicle platforms add another challenge to legacy tuning tools and methods. At Hear360, we see collaboration as the path to solve for these challenges, and that’s why we’re so excited to join the Audio Foundry.”
“Bringing Hear360 into Audio Foundry adds another dimension to the way we think about the role of sound in the vehicle,” said Matt Marchese, AVP & Chief Business Officer, Tymphany. “For OEMs, audio is no longer simply a feature—it is an opportunity to create experiences that are distinctive to their brand. Hear360’s perspective will add real value to that conversation.”
Hear360 will present at Audio Foundry’s San Rafael event on September 24, 2026, bringing its technology and perspective to an evening of demonstrations, discussion and networking with members of the automotive audio community.
